We’re here for good, before & after.

After is Australia and New Zealand’s first textile recycling pick-up service where recycling means rewarding sustainability with every collection.

Born in Melbourne in mid-2021, we now offer textile waste collection across New Zealand, and thanks to some fantastic conscious in ANZ businesses - proudly give back to fellow do-gooders along the way!

Our Team

Meet the incredible team who refuse to treat textile waste as an after-thought.

Our Story.

In 2021, Yesha, a former fast fashion enthusiast and brand new Melbournian from New Zealand, embarked on the gruesome task of decluttering her long-neglected wardrobe. As she sought ethical and sustainable ways to part with her well-worn, non-donatable clothes (“unwearables”), she was pursuing her Masters of Entrepreneurship at the University of Melbourne.

It was during this time that the idea for After was born. Frustrated by the lack of an accessible, eco-friendly disposal solution, Yesha set out with the intention to combat the adverse environmental impacts of improper textile waste disposal.

Kicking off with a few small rounds of local collections, Yesha quickly realised the intense demand for a sustainable alternative.

Since inception, After has been committed to ensuring that all textile waste is disposed of in a manner that continues to support, not hinder the ongoing efforts to address the climate crisis.

Your textiles want a better after-life.
We’re here to make it happen.

We do this.

Various pieces of fabric and textile samples in small plastic bags, organized on a large sheet of paper labeled 'COTTON'.
The back of a cargo van filled with stacked cardboard boxes of various sizes and designs.
A large pile of debris and trash on fire, with flames and smoke rising into the sky, in an open outdoor area.
A woman in pink clothing and red head covering walking through a large dump of garbage.

Not this.

We’ve been places.

Watch us present our vision for a circular future, where unwearable clothing is recovered, repurposed, and kept in use for longer.
